About SEMO GIS
and the SEMO RPC

SEMO GIS was formed in 2005 as a joint project of Show-Me Net, Inc. and the Southeast Missouri Regional Planning & Economic Development Commission (RPC), in cooperation with cities and counties in the Southeast Missouri area with the purpose of providing useful maps to promote emergency preparedness, community development, healthcare, commerce, social services, public works, and administration.

Show-Me Net, Inc. ceased operations on December 31, 2009 and on January 12, 2010 its Board of Directors transferred ownership of all of SEMO GIS's equipment and software to the SEMO RPC. The Commission's knowledgeable and experienced staff and considerable reputation insure that SEMO GIS will be here for the foreseeable future.

The GIS & Mapping Department at the Southeast Missouri Regional Planning Commission offers mapping services to entities in the Southeast Missouri region. These services include hosting existing data on this site along with parcel mapping, utility mapping, cemetery inventories, and map production and data maintenance.
